    At this stage, I have one comment to make and that refers to strategy 4. I don't believe that operating via companies would improve the situation at all. In fact, if properties are managed by a faceless bureaucratic, purely profit-orientated company, it could well turn out a lot worse - whether these companies are regulated or not. I think very often the personal touch that someone who owns just one or two rented properties can bring is very often a bonus for a tenant and can help them feel more at home and secure.  less

I have one question and that is this: Why are we, in the UK, fixated on owning our own home when for much of Europe this is not true? It would be good to hear from someone who lives/has lived in one of these countries to see what their take on it is.
